Mowing the lawn. Honestly.

It’s been raining here for the back of September, most of October and every morning or noon in November, so the grass has been, er, making hay. Long green grass. Today we finally got the chance to mow… and we did. Filled up the compost heap completely. Grass everywhere.

It’s been a relief to get back to writing. I’m stuck on the plot; I know where I want it to go and who has to shuffle where to get the story where it needs to go. Right now, it’s degenerated into a series of family arguments. A lot of editing needed, I think.

It’s useful to get outside and do some hard physical work rather than sitting down writing all the time. I came indoors keen to get stuck into this story. Family argument number eight coming up.

Like every other human being - too complicated too set down in a few hundred words.
