I’m Julia Chalkley. Born in the late Fifties, I grew up in the east end of London in the Sixties and Seventies and moved out to the countryside as soon as I had a choice.
Right now, I do think I’m living the high life – not rich, but cheerful about my life and content with the choices I made along the way. I worked hard to gain a degree (Open University) and two professional qualifications.
Now ‘retired’ (a pension would be nice thank you Boris!) – I spend my time gardening, writing and enjoying the company of my husband and my cat.
If you follow this blog I should warn you that there’s unlikely to be drama or mayhem – unless it turns up in my fiction.
